Cooking 101: A Guide to the Perfect Steak

We all know that summertime means it’s grilling season.  And who doesn’t love a perfectly cooked steak when you’re drinking beer with friends on your backyard patio? Summer’s great isn’t it?!

Some of us out there are more adept at preparing steak than others. Well, today’s post can help with that.  If you’re a newbie to the grill this season then you probably think you have a lot to learn about meat doneness and preparation.  Making steak for a gang of friends isn’t necessarily the easiest thing, especially as people can be very particular about their steak is cooked. For me personally, I’m a medium rare kind of guy but I know friends of mine who balk at the idea of any bit of pink in their steak. That’s alright I judge them too 🙂

But, there’s no reason to fear with the “Complete Guide to Steak”, which has been shared with us from the folks over at ereplacementparts.com.  Check it out below!

It’s Grilling Season Baby! Tips So You Don’t Get Burned Buying Your New Grill

It’s almost summer which means many of us are going to be spending a lot more time outdoors and hopefully grilling up some tasty food!

One often overlooked part of the experience is finding the right grill. Here are some tips from the folks a Napoleon Gourmet Grills to help you choose the best grill for your needs:

You get what you pay for $$$ – in most cases, BBQ’s are priced according to quality. Do your research, but if you want a quality grill that’s going to last a while, be prepared to pay for it.

Buy local! – When possible, search and buy local brands as that may cut down on costs and enable you to more readily get replacements parts in the future, should you need them.

Consider size, accessories and BTU’s – Don’t go into buying blind, think about what you will be cooking, how many people you will be cooking for and the space it will be sitting in. Going into a buy without planning can result in you getting the “ol’ car salesman” and buying something you don’t actually need.

Check the warranty – be sure to ask your dealer about what is/isn’t included in the warranty. A good warranty for grills will cover 10 years for burners, sear plates and castings, which are the heart of your grill.

Stick to your budget and take care! – Think about what you can afford, and what you need. Take care of the unit you purchase, and you won’t need to buy another one until technology changes again and you want the latest innovation!

At that time, no one could imagine the incredible future that lay ahead for Wolf Steel Ltd. and eventually Napoleon® Fireplaces and Napoleon® Gourmet Grills.

Check out 12 Grilling Recipes for Father’s Day

by Jor-El at Foodie.com

Father’s Day is quickly approaching and this time you should do your old man a solid and take over the grilling reigns (if he lets you).  Father’s Day is a good excuse to give your pops a day off from the grilling handiwork.  I think it’s the perfect time to let him relax and watch ESPN (or whatever tickles his fancy) with a beer or two while you cook up a good meal on the grill.

In honor of Father’s Day I have collected twelve of my favorite grilling recipes that offer something both savory and sweet with a lot of varieties to choose from.  They’re relatively easy too! And since you’re the master of the grill this Father’s Day, this is also a good way to finally get your stubborn pops to try more grilled veggies, which in my opinion, is the best way to eat them.  Here is a list of the 12 Grilling Recipes to enjoy this Father’s Day.

  • Perfectly Grilled Steak
  • Grilled Vegetables
  • Grilled Peach Salsa-Topped Franks
  • Grilled Potato Chips
  • Grilled Mongolian Pork Chops
  • Burgers Cuban Style
