I hate that I have to apply four different products to my hair to get a moisturized, curly fro so today I tried something a little different to style the fro…I only used a leave in conditioner and hair butter. That’s it! As more and more products pile in my bathroom I think more and more about simplifying my hair care routine. I only do wash and go’s so my styling options are pretty limited. I used to be so concerned about perfect curl definition but as time goes by, I have become less concerned with that. Most recently, I’ve been wondering if a hair butter could function as a stand alone styler.
Today, I co-washed with Tresemme Naturals Vibrantly Smooth Conditioner (review coming soon), detangled, then used Shea Radiance Nourishing Hair Repair Cream. Once my hair was dry, I styled my hair with Shea Radiance’s Moisture Rich Hair Butter by quickly smoothing it over my ends (Read my recent review of Shea Radiance products here). The fro had less definition and frizz control than I’m accustomed to BUT, I have to say that the results weren’t all that bad! My hair was super soft all day and little fluffier than normal but to be honest, I’m probably the only person who could tell a difference (i.e. was probably all in my head lol). I looove your hair! Yes, I am focusing on using less products at a time as well! Yesterday after I shampooed, I used Herbal Essences’ Long Term Relationship leave in, my oil mix and Fruitopia sleek and shine hair serum and loved it!! Today I’m rocking a chunky twist out that I took down with Jane Carter’s Nourish and shine and I love it!!! Less is definitely more!
